Vancouver based queer artist Nic Hughes (formerly known as N.213) brings h/is solo warped lo-fi experiments in the abstract. Mixing rhythmic noise, swamp beats and theatrics all into a single vision, Maskara captivated and unpacks the bedroom melody in sequence. Hughes has been on the scene since 2001 with the label Isolated Now Waves and also plays in Shearing Pinx, Group Vision and Prxncxss Apprntly. We’ve hosted Nic a few times in different groups and incarnations, each time h/is presence inspires curiosity and awe!
